This April, Girls Inc. of NYC participants (Cheri and Chantell) along with their staff chaperones (Christina & Sasha) traveled to Washington, D.C. for "Take Our Daughters To Congress Day"
As participants of the national event, the Girls Inc members shadowed female members of the US House of Representitives. Chantell and Cheri spent the day with Rep. Carolyn Maloney (NY) and Rep. Carolyn McCarthy (NY).
From learning to use chop-sticks to musing about the challenges of being a female politician...here is their story.
